Strangelet Press is looking for a publicity intern for Spring 2016. Unfortunately, we’re not able to offer pay for this position, but we can offer friendship and really fun Google Hangouts. (Plus, you know, experience.)
Description
Unpaid intern to support publicity research and pitching for independent startup Strangelet Press, publisher of Strangelet Journal. Primary responsibilities will include researching potential review outlets, blogs, and publicity event opportunities; drafting review queries; and corresponding with reviewers. All work will be done remotely, flexible hours available; expected to call in to business meetings once a week.
If you are seeking a for-credit internship, we are willing to work with your college or university internship adviser to make sure the experience meets your institution’s requirements.
About our internship program
Strangelet Press has had two successful internship experiences, with interns in communication and graphic design. Interns work closely with the Strangelet team to determine their internship tasks, monitor progress, and share their work with the wider team. Our past interns have earned credit for their internship with two separate institutions: Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts, and Indiana University – Purdue University in Ft. Wayne, Indiana.
